CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN THE AEROSPACE SECTOR IN THE BREMEN REGION
The aerospace industry continues to be a growth sector with a high proportion of scientific innovations that also have an impact on other sectors. In terms of the aerospace industry, the state of Bremen has the highest employee density in Germany. In addition to global corporations, well over 150 small and medium-sized companies are active in the Bremen region. As production, development and supply companies, they are very closely involved in all aspects of aerospace technology.
In addition, there are overlaps with other sectors of the economy that are cross-sectoral, such as hydrogen and information technology, lightweight construction, the automotive sector, logistics and shipbuilding. These also include companies in the state of Bremen that operate worldwide and, in some cases, occupy leading positions in their market segment as hidden champions. It is therefore easy for graduates of universities in the state of Bremen to establish initial contacts with companies during their studies and to start their careers there immediately after graduation.

STUDENT PROGRAMS
The University of Bremen and its research partners offer children, young people and teachers a wide range of transfer programs: Workshops in school laboratories, vacation programs such as the Children’s University and Summer Academy, early studies, teacher training and STEM specialist days.
In the German CanSat competition, pupils develop mini satellites in the size of a soda can in an annual competition. The highlight is the five-day launch campaign in Bremen with insights into the space industry.
Schule@HSB connects Bremen City University of Applied Sciences with schools and multipliers, coordinates school visits, develops offers for pupils and provides information on degree courses and studying.
